Every novice grower asked himself this question - how to properly care for marijuana? Marijuana bushes are not picky about growing and caring. They are able to survive even in the most severe conditions: frosts, droughts, under strong gusts of wind and under the scorching sun. It is no secret that the yield of cannabis depends on the conditions in which cannabis is grown.
Fungal diseases or physical damage are just as stressful to the plant as bad weather. The more the bush succumbed to stress, the smaller and worse the harvest will be. What to do and how to provide a favorable environment for cannabis? In fact, everything is very simple.
First, the grower must choose the type of cannabis cultivation: Indore or Outdoor. It is recommended to grow low-growing, low-smelling varieties indoors so that the limited space does not cause discomfort to the plant. The type of cultivation is selected individually for the variety and for the capabilities of the grower.
Subtleties of growing cannabis
What can you water hemp with - filtered water is best. It is necessary in order to reduce the risk of plant diseases. Caring for cannabis outdoors is a very delicate matter, because there is a high risk that the plant will get sick, freeze, burn or fall under the invasion of insects. To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to fertilize the bush.
What is the best way to fertilize marijuana is macronutrients known to all agronomists and gardeners: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium. Nitrogen is able to improve cell division, thereby giving impetus to growth, while Phosphorus and Potassium are aimed at the formation of fruits and the formation of immunity.
How to care for marijuana outdoors
Outdoor is a method of growing cannabis outdoors. The method of cultivation is low-cost, but very promising. With this type of cultivation, the bush can reach a height of more than 2-3 meters and produce up to three kilograms of inflorescence per bush. But it all depends on the variety you want to grow.
This method is not complicated at all and does not require much care and expense. All a grower needs is the original cannabis seeds, free sunny spot in a 2m2 garden bed, water, and some fertilizer. No need to buy equipment, ventilation and phytolamps.
The first step will be fertilizing and loosening the soil. After the cold winters characteristic of our climate, the substrate shrinks, and useful fertilizers disappear. It is good to loosen the ground before planting, add coconut fiber and drainage so that moisture does not linger and fungus does not appear. Then water with nitrogen fertilizer.
The second step is to pre-germinate the cannabis seeds. Planting of germinated seeds falls in March, the soil temperature should not be lower than +12 C! Pour the substrate abundantly with filtered water.
The third step falls during the growing season. The grower needs to water the cannabis bush with filtered water and fertilizer and monitor the general condition of the cannabis bush.
Next comes the flowering phase. An incredibly beautiful sight. It is worth noting that flowering occurs with contractions of the solar cycle and lasts until the onset of autumn. During this period, the buds are saturated with THC and resins.
Growing and caring for marijuana indoors
Indore - a method of growing hemp indoors: indoors, greenhouse, grow box, on the balcony. This method will require more attention and costs from the grower, as it is necessary to create a full-fledged climate:
- Soil volume not less than 7l;
- pH = 5.5-6.5;
- The best purchased substrate to protect the bush from diseases;
- Lighting during the growing season 18 hours, during the flowering period 12;
- Comfortable air humidity 55-60%;
- Room temperature 20-30 C;
- Good air exchange or ventilation.
Care for marijuana during the flowering period is to change the solar cycle and reduce fertilizing with nitrogen fertilizers. The flowering period depends on the variety of cannabis. For example, autoflowering varieties can produce faster than feminized varieties. But autos produce less yield and lower THC levels.
Necessary fertilizers for cannabis during the flowering period: phosphorus and potassium. They are needed to improve productivity. If you overdo it with top dressing, then the cones will have an unpleasant chemical aftertaste.
